Another Reason I Love The Midlands – Lake Murray

Lake Murray has to be one of the “biggest” reasons that we Love The Midlands… Beautiful Lake Murray is a large man-made lake located in Lexington Saluda Newberry and Richland Counties of SC.  It is approximately 50,000 Acres in Size and has almost 650 miles of lake front shoreline.   In my opinion some of the most beautiful and valuable Real Estate borders this Lake.   The Lake was created by a The Dreyer Shoals Dam that was built in 1930 and was at that time the largest Earthen Dam in the World.   It dammed the Saluda River and created the largest Man-made reservoir in the world at that time.  (credit Wikipedia)
